Mr Trevor Goddard
Trevor Goddard, Director of International Relations, received a Curtin University Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence in 2004 and 2007 and was the 2005 OT Entrepreneur of the Year for OT Australia WA.His teaching and research focuses on corporate citizenship, community development and international service learning.In 2006 he also received a National Carrick Institute citation for outstanding contributions to student learning... ' For enabling an international multi disciplinary health and development learning experience that enhances personal, professional and clinical skills and cultural awareness of health science students'.Trevor leads the international relationships portfolio that sees the School extending activities throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Trevor works with not for profit (social change) organisations, universities and corporations, investigating how as citizens of communities they might collectively use their financial, creative human resources and capital power to affect positive health and social changes.He is currently Vice chairperson of Perth Home Care Services Inc., and his work has previously been recognised with a National Australia Day Council Young Australian Achievers Award and a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellowship.In 2003 Trevor was selected as an Australian representative on the 9th Commonwealth Study Conference and awarded a University of Nijmegen PhD bursary by the Nijmegen School of Management, International Research Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility.He has been invited to present to the 2008 Oxford Roundtable on Ethical sentiments: The restoration of trust in government and business.
Trevor is the author of various journal articles, textbook chapters and research book chapters covering corporate citizenship, community health and international service learning.He is currently the World Federation of Occupational Therapists UNGC project coordinator, leading the Federations signing of the United Nations Global Compact in 2007.Trevor is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and a Research Associate with the Centre for Research into Disability and Society at Curtin.He is a PhD candidate with the Corporate Citizenship Research Unit at Deakin University investigating the business case for corporations in the mining industry to use health impact assessments to measure the impact of mine closure on community health.
