May 24, 2005 - Congratulations to Gail Millerick, Director of Development who sat for an exam to become a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive), awarded by CFRE International, and is now one of 4600 professionals around the world with this designation.CFRE International is located in Alexandria, Virginia, and their mission, as stewards of public trust, certifies fundraising professionals who have tenure in development, and demonstrate knowledge, skill, professional achievements, and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practices in serving not-for-profit organizations.CFRE established and administer this voluntary certification process based on current and valid standards that measure competency in the practice of philanthropic fundraising.Between February and April, 2005, they certified people in 32 states plus Canada.Gail is one of eight from Connecticut.

Gail has made a significant contribution to our organization through her vision and leadership in numerous fundraising projects including the Capital Campaign, Annual Appeal, MidState Gala and the creation of the new Leadership Wall as well as the Capital Donor Wall.
