Stuart Miller, Casino Manager for GetMinted.com, sent an e-mail to all players registered in Germany last week advising them that, due to recent changes in the legalities of online gaming within the nation, their accounts would be suspended from March 1.

The e-mail stated that all gameplay for German accounts has already been suspended but players would still be able to access their accounts in order to withdraw any funds up to the March deadline.

Miller stated that German customers should ensure that their funds have been withdrawn before the deadline and thanked clients in Germany for their patronage.He also apologised for any inconvenience and added that GetMinted.com would continue to monitor the situation in hopes of again being able to offer services in Germany in the future.

Stuart Miller, the casino manager at Get Minted.com, told his German customers in an email this week that due to recent changes in the legalities of online gaming within Germany, "....we very much regret to inform you that all Getminted accounts registered by players from Germany will be suspended as of 1st March 2008."

The email advises that Get Minted will be suspending all game-play for German accounts on 8th February 2008, but that players will still be able log in and to withdraw any funds up until 1st March.

Effective 1st March a German customer log-on exclusion will be implemented, and German players should therefore ensure that their funds are withdrawn at that time.Miller thanks German clients for their patronage and apologises for any inconvenience, adding that Get Minted will continue to monitor the situation and hopes to again be able to offer German services in the future.

The ban by Germany has been criticised as non-compliant with EU principles by the European Commission, which is ramping up its pressure on Germany over state monopolistic and discriminatory gambling policies.

Casino Manager for GetMinted.com, Stuart Miller, wrote an email to all players who were registered to the site and from Germany, to advise them that their accounts would be suspended as of March 1, 2008, due to the recent legal changes to the online gambling ban.

In the email, it explained that all accounts from players who lived in Germany, and were registered to GetMinted.com, would be suspended; however they would still be able to access their accounts in order to withdraw their funds only until March 1, 2008.

Miller also made mention in the email that German players should make sure all funds have been withdrawn before the mentioned deadline, and also thanked its customers for being committed to GetMinted.com.

Miller also gave his apologies for causing any inconvenience and stated that GetMinted.com would continue to monitor the current situation, hoping that it will be able to offer its services again in Germany.

The German ban against online gambling sites from other countries has been criticized by the European Commission as being totally against any of the European Unions rules of free trade.
