A member of the Prism Financial Group, L.L.C. team since 2002, Dan brings 11 years of experience as Controller/Office Manger for a small local company.Coming from a background in Accounting and Employee Benefits, Dan implements and manages small to mid-sized group retirement plans.In addition to business planning, Dan offers his personal clients comprehensive financial planning and overall investment portfolio design.Dan's team responsibilities include investment research, client account history, and general support of all client accounts.

Dan received a Bachelors Degree in Finance from the University of San Diego.He currently holds the Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses, as well as his Kansas and Missouri Life and Health Insurance licenses.Dan is a member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Greater Kansas City Area Chapter of the FPA.

A lifelong resident of southern Johnson County, Dan is very involved with community and school organizations.He and his wife Kathy enjoy golf, dining out and going to Royals games with their three children.

Dan is a Registered Representative with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., a Broker/Dealer, Member NASD/SIPC.

Daniel M. Miller has been with the firm since 1990.Mr. Miller practices in the general estates area.His work includes estate and gift taxation ; estate planning , including estate planning in connection with closely held businesses , life insurance and qualified retirement plans , charitable tax planning , including private foundations , international estate planning and advising bank trust departments on fiduciary investment law issues and the use of affiliated mutual funds.He is a member of the Financial Planning Association , the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh , and the Probate and Trust Law Sections of the American , Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.

Mr. Miller is an author and frequent lecturer at seminars addressing issues relating to fiduciary investment and compensation as well as estate planning.He has authored and presented materials for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Programs , Tough Problems in Estate Planning and Taxes Affecting Decedents' Estates..

Mr. Miller is a Director of the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council and a volunteer attorney with Reed Smith's Adoption Legal Services Project.

Mr. Miller is a graduate of Phillips Academy , Andover , Massachusetts.In 1987 he received both a B.S. in economics ( concentration in finance ) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania , and a B.A. in political science from Penn's College of Arts and Sciences.He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1989.
