    Group Captain Philip Miles is a career logistician with a wide experience of military supply chain management in both national and international contexts.His recent appointments have included practical tri-service spares and equipment acquisition, involvement in redefining the strategic direction of Royal Air Force logistics policy and organisation and development and co-ordination of United Kingdom strategic defence support chain business policy and systems, including interfaces with Industry and coherence with NATO.In his current appointment as Branch Chief Logistics on the International Military Staff at NATO Headquarters, his responsibilities are focused on development of strategic level NATO policies for logistics and military aspects of civil emergency planning.A graduate of the United Kingdom Royal College of Defence Studies, Group Captain Miles is also a member of both the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Management.
