  Peter Miles was appointed Vice President of the Diagnostic Solutions line of business and Managing Director of GenRad Ltd in April 2000.Peter has been involved in all the key developments of this business segment for GenRad , starting with a project for Jaguar Cars in the mid-80's , through success with Ford of Europe in 1989 , to the point today where the customer list boasts 25 names , including General Motors , Saab , Rolls-Royce and BMW.Peter was also one of the architects of the strategy to expand into the independent repair market.On graduation he spent four years at ICL as a design engineer.He joined a start-up , Cirrus Designs , which in 1984 was acquired by GenRad.This then became the Automotive Test Products Division of GenRad , later evolving to Diagnostic Solutions.Peter has held a number of roles , in engineering , sales , marketing and business development.Peter has Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.Peter also has gained a Diploma in Marketing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.He resides in South Manchester , England.
