Sharon Meyers has a Master's degree in Instructional Technology.She is currently Curriculum Coordinator for Trinity School in Menlo Park , and is also an education technology consultant with NPC Consulting specializing in curriculum integration and staff development.Her background includes 20 years in software engineering and engineering management , and several years as a classroom teacher and technology administrator.
Mark Miller Ph.D. is the founder of The Miller Institute for Learning with Technology , a small nonprofit corporation , which evolved out of an independent educational technology consultancy . Before founding the Institute , Mark was a lab director at Apple Computer , where he spent nine years heading up innovative learning technology R&D programs within Apple's Advanced Technology.Programs under Miller's direction at various times included Apple Classroom of Tomorrow , Visualization and Simulation ( KidSim , Cocoa ) ; Business Learning and Performance Support ; and Multimedia Authoring Tools.Mark received a B.S. in Cognitive Science at UCSD and a doctorate from M.I.T.He has also worked at the Central Research Laboratories of Texas Instruments , and he helped found Computer Thought Corporation , a software venture developing knowledge based training systems.He has taught at the University of Texas and Southern Methodist.Mark works closely with K-12 schools on technology planning , and is member of the Governance Council at the San Carlos Charter Learning Center.He is also involved with the Technology Committee of Joint Venture Silicon Valley and Challenge 2000.He is an internationally recognized speaker and seminar leader who has been named a Virtual Visiting Scholar at the Open University Knowledge Media in the UK.
