"The response has been really good," said Meyers owner Scott Meyers.
"It took off as soon as they announced it."
Meyers said he was unaware of any dealers being reimbursed yet.
He said dealers were to receive confirmation of their claims within 48 hours and reimbursement within 14 days.
He has yet to receive any confirmation even though his oldest claim was submitted eight days ago.
"It's a little bit of an uneasy feeling in the dealer body right now not knowing whether your application will be taken," Meyers said.

Meyers said he has sold 10-11 vehicles under the program.
Most "clunkers" coming into his dealership were mid-1990 vintage that Meyers said were "pretty tired."

The program does not provide any provisions to change credit terms and people still need to be able to borrow money.
Meyers said most people taking advantage of the program through his dealership are his good customers who are gainfully employed and are bringing in clunker cars.

When old vehicles are traded in, Meyers said a sodium sulfate compound is run through the engine to destroy it, and the vehicles are sent off to a salvage yard where they are predominately crushed.
"The power trains can never go back on the road," Meyers said.
