Barry MeyerMr. Meyer has practiced law since 1976 and has devoted his practice solely to Family Law since 1983.An interest and education in business administration have helped him develop a reputation for his business sense.Mr. Meyer is known for his skill in handling complex dissolution of marriage actions, including the valuation of closely held businesses and professional practices, as well as cases involving multi-unit franchised companies, farms and significant real estate holdings.

Along with the experienced skill to evaluate cases accurately, Mr. Meyer is adept at coordinating the efforts of other professionals, such as CPAs, actuaries and appraisers, to achieve the best possible results for his clients.

While he knows that the financial aspects of a marriage dissolution are important, Mr. Meyer is also sensitive to the emotional aspects of divorce, realizing that, if ignored, emotions will make settlement impossible and force clients into needless, costly litigation.In this regard, he often works closely with psychologists, psychiatrists and other counseling professionals in the representation of his clients.

Mr. Meyer earned a B.S. Degree with distinction in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1975.

Mr. Meyer is a member of the Family Law Section of the Hennepin County Bar Association and is also a member of the Minnesota and American Bar Associations.
