In local news, Michael Metzger reported on NCTA's recent participation in the Localization World Conference in San Francisco, where workshops were given by Tuomas Kostiainen and Jost Zetzsche, and a panel presentation included participation by Sabine Hathaway and Christopher Niedermair.

After general business was taken care of, NCTA President Michael Metzger and member Evan Geisinger presented awards to members who were recognized for outstanding service to the NCTA and the translation community.

Michael Metzger has worked in the translation and localization industry for over 15 years in various positions.As former president of the NCTA and significant contributor to the establishment of the ATA German Language Division, he is well-known by his peers as a passionate volunteer and for his constructive visions for the profession.
