   Division President Mark Metheny said the event, with tours of two model homes -- the Monticello and the Lincoln, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A special ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at noon and lunch will be served immediately following. The public grand opening will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 11a.m. to 4p.m.
   
   The Tampa Bay Division of US Home is building 36 three-bedroom townhomes priced from the $140s and 58 four and five bedroom single-family homes priced from the $170s at The Oaks at Riverview.
   
   Metheny said the Tampa Bay division utilized new designs, increased density and speedier approvals from city and county officials to reduce construction costs and the homebuilder will even help homebuyers qualify for state and local downpayment assistance.
   
   "It will take the combined efforts of local and state government and the private sector if we are going to solve Florida's affordable housing crisis," said Metheny. "The Oaks at Riverview is our first major effort in this market, and we plan to do more," he said.
   
   The Tampa Bay division is building a community Center with library, computer room, exercise room and swimming pool, a day care facility, roller derby rink and playground at the Oaks at Riverview.
   
   The US Home Tampa division builds homes in 23 communities across Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk Counties. US Home Corporation has been Tampa Bay's number one homebuilder for more than 50 years. * * *
