Phillip Foster Farm's new parking situation is currently unknown because of the sale of one adjacent field, but their biggest yearly event is on Mothers' Day, and Jeff Merrifield will check out how orderly it seems to be run.

Jeff Merrifield reported an approved budget of $8000, which includes two grants totaling $3000.The money will go mostly toward newspaper advertising.We will include copies of the CABA Calendar with any press releases that go out.Four CABA members recently attended a marketing seminar hosted by Clackamas County.Jeff mentioned the wealth of contacts with both eventers and events at this seminar and suggested that CABA representatives attend as many meetings in other counties as possible.For instance, Estacada has an Art Fair street event right before our Country Faire, which could be attended by CABA fiber artists, now that we know of its existence.
The Traveling CABA Booth is going to the Heart of the Valley Show with Jeff, who will set it up, but it needs a person to take it home and to monitor it while at the show.We also need people to take it to the County Fairs coming up.
CABA will make more copies of the key to the storage shed, which is in Hillsboro on Cornell, across from the entrance to Costco.The three keys will be kept by: Barry, Yvette, and the current President (now Jeff)

This was mainly a discussion led by Jeff M., concerning CABA members' wishes.Putting on a new Fall show requires 10-12 very involved people, a dynamic chairman, full cooperation by the CABA Board, and mentoring by our old-timers.Jeff recommended tabling this idea and pursuing the formation of a CABA/AWE show to have a permanent home at Portland's Expo Center.This is supported by unofficial input from AWE Board members to CABA people at the recent AWE show.
