Dorothy Fauber Merrifield

Dorothy was retired from the Wayne County Board of Education where she had been a school teacher for many years.She graduated from Huntington High School in 1949 and Marshall University in 1953.Dorothy was a member of the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class at her church.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. "Bud" Spangler.She is survived by her beloved children, one son and daughter-in-law, John Duane and Bridy Spangler of Hillsville, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Kenny Keefer of Huntington, W.Va., and Renee and Steve Minor of Edgewater, Fla.; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Judith Ann and Col.Donald Keith Cliff USMC Ret. of Huntington; her nine grandchildren whom she loved, Derek Spangler, Laura Spangler, Jesse Spangler, Isaac Spangler, Whitney Spangler, Aimee Hampton, Andy Minor, Ryan Keefer and Travis Keefer; four great-grandchildren, Zoee, Marlee, Conner and Nathan; many friends and neighbors.Dot will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
