A.J. Mendelsohn concentrates her practice in the area of trusts and estates.For individuals, she performs a full range of sophisticated estate and tax planning, including but not limited to charitable remainder trusts, domestic and foreign revocable and irrevocable trusts, and the effective use of life insurance.Additionally, she assists clients with generation-skipping tax issues, illiquid assets, and developing lifetime gift programs.She works closely with accountants, insurance professionals, and trust officers to develop coordinated estate plans.

For businesses and corporate clients, Ms. Mendelsohn counsels on succession issues, buy-sell agreements, and reorganization of closely held businesses.She also advises national and state non-profit organizations in the implementation of foundation programs and provides tax advice on a wide variety of matters, particularly those of critical concern to colleges and universities.

A. J. Mendelsohn concentrates her practice in the area of trusts and estates.Ms. Mendelsohn graduated fifth in her class from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.While in law school, she was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, the Order of Barristers, the Dickinson Law Review and the Appellate Moot Court Board.She is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council and volunteers for the Big 33 Scholarship Program.

A.J. Mendelsohn of Rhoads & Sinon's Trusts and Estates Group participated in a Law Day informational program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association on May 21 at Harrisburg School District's Steele School.

Mendelsohn, an attorney partner on the joint program between the PBA and the Office of Attorney General known as Project Peace, spoke with elementary students regarding the legal system.On Law Day, the PBA works with schools to educate children about their legal rights and responsibilities through classroom visits with lawyers and judges.
