  PATTY ATCHESON MELTON: is producing a couple of series "I love Nevada" and "Off Nevada Roads". Primarily a watercolor portrait artist and owner of Wow! Design Marketing, she continues to diversify her artistic style with acrylics and oils.

  Avertising, Illustration and Design:Patty has been in the Advertising field for 30 years.She worked as a fashion illustrator for a Nevada Department store and worked at a Nevada based Advertising firm, Tyson, Curtis, Wilson as an Illustrator and production assistant.She was Art Director for the California Chamber of Commerce, responsible for a BI-monthly magazine, newsletter, advertising, brochures and annual reports.She was also Art Director for the Nevada State Department of Tourism, responsible for all print media such as ads, brochures, and billboards.Patty was on the faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno for 5 years, working in publications and graphics doing design and illustration.
  
  Present Work:Patty has a design firm for the last 20 years with offices in both Reno and Las Vegas.Clients included the City of Henderson, where she redesigned the logo for all city development.Other clients such as First Interstate Bank of Nevada, Mrs. Aulds Gourmet foods and the University of Nevada Medical School are some of her other prestigious clients.She worked with Addi Galleries Corporate in marketing and sales, and was involved with their website, galleryrow.com as their customer service representative.In 2004, She ran for Reno City Council against an 8 year incumbent receiving 48.26% of the votes and making a surprising showing for someone that had never ran for a political position.
  
  Patty was an artist in residence for 3 years with Sierra Arts Foundation providing art classes to Washoe County school children. She taught private art lessons to children and adults. She taught magazine design and production to journalism students at the University of Nevada Reno, and She has given lectures on various subjects ranging from design, owning a business, how to promote yourself, to lecturing on Portrait painting.
  
  Artist:Throughout her marketing career She have painted and is currently working on commissioned portraits and commissioned pen and ink with watercolor residences throughout Reno and Carson City.She has published a series of botanical giclee prints.
  
  Exhibitions:Patty has exhibited at Hermitage Gallery, Addi Gallery, Esoteric Gallery, New Millennium Gallery, Reno Little Theater Gallery, California Chamber of Commerce, Nevada State Capitol, Nevada State Fair, Deluxe Gallery, Nevada Museum of Art, Sierra Arts Foundation, and various courthouses and law offices throughout the State of Nevada and homes throughout Nevada and California.
  
  Boards:Patty has been on the board of Pioneer Center For the Performing Arts, Truckee Meadows Heritage Trust, Nevada Women's Fund, Sierra Arts Foundation and was a commissioner on the City of Reno's Arts and Culture Commission.She is currently on the board of Scenic Nevada.
