Ron Meckler, founder and president of Re:Design, Inc., has 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and art director.In Los Angeles he was an art director for Wet, a lifestyle magazine whose influence in contemporary magazine design was global.In 1984, he moved to New York to become design director for Mademoiselle magazine.As founding art director for MacUser magazine, Ron Meckler pioneered the use of the Macintosh as an electronic design tool.

He was a consultant to Allure magazine, the first Condé Nast publication to be designed and produced entirely on the Mac.Meckler was also the art director for the return of Psychology Today and Mother Earth News, designing and producing both titles through final separated film.He is co-author (with Leonard Koren) of Graphic Design Cookbook: Mix & Match Recipes For Faster, Better Layouts, published by Chronicle Books.

His electronic design credits also include ads, brochures, logos, newsletters, and interactive multimedia.Working with his carefully assembled interactive design team, Ron now applies his experience to the development of high-end web sites.

Ron, in his spare time, is an active member of a non-partisan think tank dedicated to developing the first, fatless cheeseburger.

Ron grew up in Detroit, the son of a meat packer.He showed signs of a creative bent at an early age, teaching himself how to play multiple instruments and compose.

After moving to Los Angeles in 1974 to pursue a musical career, Ron developed his design chops at WET:The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing, the 70s avant garde publication from Venice, California.He moved to new york in 1984, where he was Design Director for Mademoiselle magazine and art director for MacUser magazine and Psychology Today.

A pioneer in the use of the computer as a design tool, Ron has provided design/technology consulting for Allure magazine, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, The New York Times, The Pushpin Group, Chermayeff and Geismar, and Chiat/Day/Mojo.

In addition to heading up Re:Design, Ron is a partner in the international, boutique agency Baccari Meckler Worldwise.

He is co-author of Graphic Design Cookbook: Mix & Match Recipes for Faster, Better Layouts.

Ron has been a faculty member at the Kodak Center for Creative Imaging, School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology.His work has been featured and has won awards in HOW, Step-by-Step and Print.

He attended the Cranbrook School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and studied music at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.He currently lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Jackie, daughter Dolly and son Izzy.

Alec Diacou, founder of Financial Web Design, has 20 years of experience in the financial services business.After earning a master's degree in economics from the University of Chicago, he moved to New York to complete the Chase Manhattan Bank's intensive Global Lending Training Program.He became a senior investment analyst with Continental Asset Management, and in 1981 was recruited by Bear Stearns as an investment banker.Alec's 11-year career as an Associate Director with Bear Stearns also included stints as a capital markets trader and institutional salesman in mortgage-backed securities.In 1992 he joined SBCM --the derivative products subsidiary of Sumitomo Bank-- as senior vice-president of marketing, where he began both its municipal and institutional sales efforts from scratch, building them to the point where they accounted for a third of SBCM's North American revenues.Alec now applies his experience in the financial world to helping financial firms reinvent themselves in electronic form so as to increase business and promote on-line trading.
