   Walt McNaulty, a Dorchester County resident, recalled that at a November meeting the Council talked about moving the excise tax from the courthouse funds and using them for school construction; Council advised no legislation will be requested in the 2006 Legislative Session. Mr. McNaulty stated that the Mayor of Baltimore requested additional funding even though there was fraud in the school system and wanted to know if Council approached the Governor for additional funding for Dorchester schools. Councilman Bramble stated that at a meeting with Lt. Governor Steele at MACO he did make request due to the renovation of schools needed in this county but to his knowledge five other counties also requested additional school funding. Mr. McNaulty inquired about anticipated funding levels from the State.
