Ken McMahon is a graphic designer, freelance journalist and best-selling author. He runs Pelican Graphics, a digital design consultancy specializing in design and artwork production for print media and the web.

Aside from updating material related to the software updates, Ken has a major revision in mind, including completely rewriting two chapters. Ken took over authoring this series of books and one of his goals is to rewrite as much of the content as possible in his voice and from his point-of-view. Ken is also planning on increasing the number of projects available at the end of each chapter (so that each chapter has at least three projects associated with it) adding approximately 25 more pages of hands-on, real life tutorials.

Ken McMahon is a freelance journalist, designer and photographer.He has been working with digital media for more than twenty years; in 1987 he co-founded one of the first design studios in the UK to use Apple Macs.He has written for leading IT consumer titles including Personal Computer World, ComputerActive!Easy PC, MacUser, and PC Pro.He is also the author of ‘Paint Shop Pro Photo XI for Photographers', published by Focal Press.

Formed in 1995, the current lineup consists of front man, singer and songwriter Robert Tycholis, guitarists Clayton Sample and Alex Herriot, drummer Ken McMahon, and bassist Jeff Smook.
