Bruce McKinnon Jr., or "Ty" as he is known to many, is pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church. He's also the person that keeps the equipment running at the city golf course, so obviously he doesn't mind getting down and dirty.

But those in the know are aware of his other talent besides being a good pastor , Ty loves to cook.In his spare time, between working, going to school at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville as part of the educational course of study required by the Methodist church, studying, and being a pastor, he occasionally finds the time to indulge in two of his favorite pastimes , fishing and cooking.

He has been known to concoct his own version of hot sauce/salsa that can scald nose hairs, open sinuses and burn the tongue. In the same vein, his homemade chili could probably take the finish off silver, but it is so good, you don't even notice the heat.Until later.

One fun concoction is a candy he dubbed "deer droppings."
