He was a member of the Woodside School Foundation, a member of the Woodside Trails Committee, a member of the Woodside Livestock Committee. He was elected to the Woodside Town Council from 1994-1997 and was Mayor of the Town of Woodside in 1996. He was Woodside's representative to San Mateo County Council of Cities and San Mateo City-County Association of Governments in 1996 and 1997. He has a certification from Wharton School of Business in Investment Management Analysis, a former RIA and Investment Banker.
