In his first start of the season, junior Dave McKae threw the UC Davis baseball team's first shut out of the year, blanking California State University, San Bernardino 2-0 in the nightcap of Saturday's home doubleheader.McKae pitched seven strong innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six.He improved his record to 4-0 on the season - the other three wins coming in relief appearances - and lowered his team-leading earned run average to 0.73 in 24.2 innings pitched.He is second on the team with four saves.
