Since Dec 2001 Karon has been the financial controller for IAPI, being solely responsible for all aspects of the companies finances and drawing up the management reports and budgets for IAPI, Sharks, Adfx, and Base. She is also the financial controller for CCCI Ltd. Graduating with a distinction in Accounting and Finance in 1988 in Cape Town, she had a varied career, culminating as the group head financial controller for a stills/commercial production company, a hair & make up agency, a photographic studio, and a lighting equipment company. A two year stint with a well known modelling agency rounded off her industry experience before emigrating to Dublin. As a hobby, she received a distinction for a Freelance Journalism Diploma in 1998, and is a member of the South African Union of Journalists.
