Karla McGregor, PhD, is associate professor of speech pathology and co-director of the Iowa Center for Developmental and Learning Sciences at The University of Iowa. She holds a doctoral degree from Purdue University and a certificate of clinical competency completed in the Early Intervention Program at The Bill Wilkerson Center, Vanderbilt University. Her research concerns individual differences in children's word learning and usage. McGregor is the recipient of R29 and R01 awards from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, an institute of the National Institutes of Health.
