Christie joined Steven Abbott Associates in February 2007 as a Planning Consultant after five years local government experience in the North West. He was promoted to the position of Associate in January 2008.

Christie deals with all aspects of planning and is continually maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new clients in the North West region and beyond. The local government experience that Christie has in the fields of Policy and Development Control proves invaluable when advising clients through the planning process; from pre-application discussions through to the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals in their various forms.

Christie is an accomplished cricketer who has represented England at two age groups. He has also played for both Lancashire CCC and Worcestershire CCC 2nd teams. In recent years he has played for teams in the Liverpool Competition, the Cheshire County League and the Lancashire County League. He currently plays for Winton in the Manchester and District Cricket Association.

To aid clients in their submission of representations within the Local Development Framework (LDF) process, Christie keeps a database updated which holds all the relevant LDF information of local planning authorities throughout the UK.As the LDF is a relatively new and complex process, the feedback we have had from clients suggests that the database is a good tool to have at their disposal to ensure that vital deadline dates do not pass by without the necessary representations being submitted.This database can be supplied to clients on request.
