    Peter McDonagh was born in Berlin and lived there for 20 years, contributing, as a youngster, to the British Forces Broadcasting Service and RIAS Berlin.

    With a degree from St John's College, Oxford, he joined BFBS in Singapore in 1971.Since then he has broadcast for it in Cologne, Berlin, Malta, Belize, Brunei, the Falklands, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, Belgium, Cyprus, and worldwide on the UK-based BFBS networks.He has also worked as a qualified BBC Radio Training Instructor, and has made and performed in programmes for BBC Radio's 1, 2, and 4, as well as overseas stations such as Radio Television Singapore, the Falkland Islands Broadcasting Station, Radio Jackie in the UK, and many stations in Germany.He recorded the last ever interview with Peter Sellers, exclusively for BFBS.
