Ms. McDevitt practices primarily in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation.Ms. McDevitt received her Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Denver and her Juris Doctor degree (cum laude) from Stetson University College of Law.Prior to receiving her law degree, Ms. McDevitt worked for a general contractor and held teaching certificates in three states.

Ms. McDevitt is admitted to practice law in the Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.Ms. McDevitt is also a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association.

Community Involvement:

Ms. McDevitt has performed volunteer work for numerous charitable organizations.She has served on the board of her church in Tampa, the board of an arts organization and the board of a local high school (including serving as president, 1998-2000).Ms. McDevitt also has given seminars on construction law to condominium owners and to the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction.
