    CIMARRON - Flipping over an ace of diamonds, Angel Fire's John McDermott became Cimarron Municipal School District's newest board member.

    Saying, "I don't have luck with cards," Heck drew the two of diamonds.

    Picking from a deck of cards - a brand new pack that had been shuffled seven times - determined the newest board member when the board vote ended in a tie between McDermott and Cimarron's Wade Heck Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Cimarron Elementary/Middle School.
