GOVERNOR ROBERT MCDANIEL
Bob was born 60 years ago in Tylertown, Mississippi.He move to Minter Field with his parents in 1955 and attended Lerdo School.He graduated from Shafter High School in 1960 and attended Biola College for one and one half years.In 1969, he graduated from Fresno State University and received a Master Degree in 1977 from Bakersfield State University.He went to work for Kern County as a Deputy Probation Officer in 1969 and worked in the Shafter Court from 1981 to 1988.While working in the Shafter Court he attended law school and passed the California Bar Exam in 1988.He then went to work for the District Attorney's Office working in the Bakersfield Criminal Division for one and one half years and in the Delano Court for two and one half years.He worked four years in Family Support division and retired after twenty-eight years with the County on August 2, 1996.He opened a law office in Shafter in August 1996.In July 1997, he was appointed Judge of the North Kern Superior Court and elected to that office in 1998.He has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Shafter since 1996.He has served as the Vice President, President Elect and Club President.He is 2001-02 Div. 33 Lt.Governor.He participated in many service and fund raising projects.He attended all District Conventions since joining Kiwanis.Serving the Children is very important.He is married to Amy, and they have six children and six grandchildren.
