Dan McDaid

Dan McDaid.Dan has joined us for the season.He's helping us in the office & out in the field doing rentals.A resident of St. Croix for 6 years, he has worked primarily as a Boat Captain, & Dive Instructor.

Dan McDaid started scuba diving in 1991.He was "hooked" immediately and became a Divemaster in 1993.He worked part time as a dive professional until 1997 when he helped start a dive charter business in Washington (brrrr).Having traveled to the Caribbean for vacation on many occasions, Dan and wife Gale decided to make the move to warm weather and "good vis." Dan is now a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and has logged over 1,500 dives in the Pacific Northwest and the Caribbean.He also has his USCG Captain's license since 1998.

Gale McDaid started diving in 1995, after gentle prodding from her husband Dan.

All Gale ever wanted to do was to be a good dive buddy for Dan.After more gentle prodding from Dan, Gale earned her Divemaster and Instructor certifications.

Dan McDaid is a U.S. Coast Guard Captain and a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.He moved from the cold waters of Washington state, along with his wife Gale, 3 years ago.He says the warm climate has worked wonders on his "aging" body and has no plans to leave the Caribbean
