According to Incat Australia's ship manager, Steve McCullum, the B&D Roll-A-Shutter doors provide great strength and durability in a highly corrosive environment."The shutters can be opened and closed up to 15 times a day in a very harsh, salty environment," Mr McCullum said."The B&D Roll-A-Shutters are able to withstand the significant pressure which builds up at the rear of the catamarans at high speed."They withstand the spray and pressure created by a 90-metre vessel travelling at over 45 knots.
The B&D Roll-A-Shutter doors feature interlocking roll-formed metal slats that provide a strong curtain. The doors used by Incat are the same B&D Roll-A-Shutter doors used in warehouse and industrial applications.
