Don McClatchey

Donald McClatchey age 78 of York, NE died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Lincoln.He was born October 23, 1929 in York County, NE to Perl J. and Goldie (Brown) McClatchey and graduated from York High School in 1948.Don was a member of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.He was a longtime active member of the East Ave United Methodist Church in York.After its closing he became a member of the First United Methodist Church in York.Don was employed at the York News-Times for over 30 years most recently as Circulation manager.Prior to joining the News-Times he worked for the Towle Auto in the tire department for 5 years.He enjoyed being active with his grandchildren, restoring and working on cars and attending car shows throughout the area.
