    Honorary Chairman, "Société Générale" Bank and Vice-Chairman, Goldman Sachs Europe

    Jacques Mayoux graduated from the Paris based Ecole des Hautes Etudes commerciales (HEC) and Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA).

    Upon graduation he was appointed Inspecteur des Finances, later special adviser to the Minister of Finance, since 1958 in charge of Secrétariat Général for European Cooperation, coordinating all the French administrations in EEC matters.

    In 1963, he was appointed and spent 12 years as General Manager and Chief Executive of "Caisse Nationale de Credit Agricole" the largest retail European Bank.

    There after he chaired several reform commissions (notably in the banking industry) and was appointed by the government to reorganise the steel industry as Chairman and CEO of Sacilor.

    He returned to the banking sector and joined Société Générale Bank as Chairman and Chief Executive.He is now Honorary Chairman.

    Jacques Mayoux is now Vice President of Goldman Sachs Europe and member of the board of various and prestigious companies.

    He serves as a Governor of the American Hospital in Paris.Jacques Mayoux held prominent distinctions: he is member of the Board of l'ordre de la Legion d'Honneur of which he is a Commander.He is Commandeur of l'Ordre National du Mérite.
