It took commissioners only 15 minutes Tuesday to table consideration of the request submitted recently by Steve Matthies , owner of ReMax in Grand Haven.Matthies has said he and others recently formed a new partnership called Grandview 900 LLC , which wants to buy the 5 acres and use it for a mixture of residential and commercial development.

Matthies said swift approval of the 1997 plan would speed Grandview 900's purchase of the land.A proposal for the site could then be refined in cooperation with village officials , who hoped to see something like a mixture of condominiums and specialty shops built on that parcel.

Matthies and his partners , who include Muskegon developers Sig Rudholm and Peter Apostle , didn't attend the meeting or present any further information , which frustrated some commissioners.

Mark Blossom, Rich Jones, Steve Matthies, Debbie Reynolds and Michelle Teitsma were honored with the esteemed 100% Club Award, which is also based on sales production for the year.
