A gentleman by the name of Leslie Matthies embarks on pioneering process work with McConnell Aircraft to smooth out inventory, production and quality control procedures. 1948 Matthies notices companies struggling with accounting and staffing issues. Matthies identifies a vast demand for training specialists with specific competencies in operations. 1958 Matthies begins publishing a Systemation Letter, which garners quite a bit of attention, then Systems and Procedures Association names him "Systems Man of the Year". 1959 Matthies establishes Systemation (the company) in Tulsa, Oklahoma - a firm dedicated to helping organizations improve business results through systems education. Matthies develops various correspondence courses focusing on business analysis and takes them worldwide.
