Meg Mathews

Meg Mathews was born in Guernsey, but moved at the age of eight to South Africa.At 18 she hitchhiked to London, moved into a South London squat, and spent the next ten years enjoying the London party scene.Finally, after selling wigs at Great Gear Market, being a sales assistant at Joseph, and a receptionist at a health spa, she landed her dream job as PA to pop star Betty Boo, a role which threw her into the deep end of the music scene.

Two years later Meg formed Flavour, a management company looking after producers who remixed big acts such as Salt ‘n' Pepa, Seal and Des'ree.It was while running Flavour that she met Noel Gallagher of the rock band Oasis, who was the boyfriend of her flatmate.The rest, as they say, is history…

Noel and Meg married in Las Vegas, Nevada in June 1997, and their daughter Anais was born in January 2000.

Meg gained the reputation as being a demon shopper and style setter, and the pair were continuously photographed on the party circuit and on exotic holiday with their super-cool celebrity circle.Sadly the marriage didn't last and they divorced in January 2001.

Meg decided to take a back seat, and dedicated her time to her growing daughter at the former marital Buckinghamshire mansion.With Anais now five and having started school, Meg has now moved her daughter and herself back to London and is looking for her next adventure.

Meg Mathews is rapidly gaining a name for herself as a highly original and creative designer in the fields of jewellery, interior design and the art of taking tea.Through her newly launched up-market design brand, Meg's creative and practical designs are already making their mark.She has designed her own unique black, fine china tea-set, Keeping it in the Family.The set is sure to transform the traditional tea-time into a really special time of day to savour.She drew inspiration for the design from the Art Deco movement of the 1930s with its stylish, clean-cut curves and geometric angles.Meg, who has a seven-year-old daughter Anais, is the former wife of Noel Gallagher from Oasis, whom she married in Las Vegas in 1997.She is planning to go out to India later this month (February 2007) to research into the best place to have this very special line produced.

But there are also even more strings to her creative bow, a unique jewellery range called Flawed, with a preference to use recycled stones as to create her own original designs.In addition, she has designed her own wallpaper, which is also marketed through Skull and Rock by Meg Mathews.

Having turned over a new leaf since her time in rehab, Meg now lives a life-style which places a strong emphasis on healthy living in the broadest sense of the word.This includes healthy eating, plenty of exercise, good food and diet.Meg, who was born in Guernsey and brought up in South Africa, was catapulted into the forefront of the Britpop scene of the 1990s' after she followed an impulse to hitch-hike to London.She moved into a South London squat - part of the music scene at the time - and soon got a job at the Great Gear market, King's Road, the epicentre of the era's Punk Rock movement.Inspired by its heady mix of music and clothes, she made the leap into the fashion industry, working for Joseph and Jones.But it was while working as a gym receptionist in Notting Hill that she met the head of A & R at WEA Records and was offered a job, which led to her forming the management company, Flavour.The label looked after producers who re-mixed household names such as Salt n'Pepa, Seal and Des'ree.Meg also set up PR Company, 2 Active, with her friend, Fran Cutler.
