Cynthia Martinez graduated cum laude from University of Texas at Dallas, with a bachelor's degree in sociology.She is currently working on her master's degree at UT Dallas in Organizational Behavior.
Cynthia has been an involved member of the Dallas community for 15 years.Her involvement in corporate philanthropic drives include Hearts & Hammers, Nature Conservancy, and United Way.She has been invited to be part of civic nominating and planning committees for Dallas County Judge Margaret Keliher and for the Foundation for Community Empowerment.She is also an active volunteer for Gilda's Club of North Texas.Cynthia has worked as an educator at the Winston School, Parish Day School and St. Michael's School.Prior to coming to Dallas After-School All-Stars, she was Vice President of Community Development for Texans Can.While living abroad she worked as a feature writer in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Peru, and Chile publishing numerous articles on women's and children's issues.She has spoken to various international groups on laws pertaining to Americans living abroad, investing in gemstones, and women's issues.
