The boy, friends and neighbors said, was just hitting his stride.Along with his dad's small build, he had his mom's affinity for the spotlight and the sociable nature that characterize both.Last November, he starred as a quarterback in his fifth-grade school musical - a big step up from his third-grade stage debut as a pigeon.
