Although petite in stature, redheaded fireball Cyndi Martinez packs a lot of fervor into her position as Director of Business Travel for the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Atlanta Business Travel Cluster Team.As a 19-year hotel veteran, Cyndi has the experience and spunk to direct a team of four Business Travel Sales Managers who handle the transient accounts for seven Atlanta Starwood hotels.

"I love the hotel industry.I have never been bored in 19 years!Everyday is different!"states Cyndi.

Born and raised in Chicago, Cyndi has lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas.She has two grown children, Danny and Cortney, who both still reside in Chicago.Cortney is in the photo at left with Cyndi.

In 2001 she re-located to Atlanta, where her two brothers reside.She has shared her Alpharetta townhouse with her two "fat cats" Ozzie and Sabrina, but move over kitty's because Cyndi's husband of seven years, Dick Martinez, will be joining her in Atlanta this month.Dick is in the hospitality business in Dallas and Cyndi is excited they will be back under one roof again.

As a new member of GBTA, Cyndi is getting the "lay of the land" before deciding what committee she wants to join."I am impressed with the sense of loyalty the members have to each other in this organization."Cyndi states."There does not seem to be a division between supplier and direct members.Everyone is treated equally!"

Her team and those who know her highly respect Cyndi.She exemplifies professionalism, integrity and honesty, traits she admires in others.Whining is Cyndi's pet peeve, and she works at staying positive and motivated.Cyndi is a dynamite new addition to GBTA and we will greatly benefit from her energy and spark!
