Alex has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Adelaide, and was originally admitted as a legal practitioner in South Australia in 1983.

Alex has extensive experience in Commonwealth and Criminal law.In Sydney, he was a Principal Legal Officer with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, having conduct of the major prosecutions of the Office.Alex had conduct of the largest tax evasion prosecutions at that time, one of the "bottom of the harbour" cases.One of Alex's key strengths is his ability to analyse complex information and make strategic decisions that result in a positive outcome for clients.

In the area of Immigration law, Alex has conducted numerous prosecutions for the Department of Immigration, and is able to provide immigration legal assistance to clients who have matters before the Courts or Tribunals.

Recently, Alex has operated his own business and understands the complexities and demands that are placed on small businesses.He is aware of the compliances required under the Corporations Law and the obligations under the Taxation Laws.
