His passion for nature and how it nurtures us is best summarized in his own words, "We live in a dynamic interrelationship with the natural world around us.Any ecosystem can provide foods that nourish us and help us stay healthy, medicines to treat us when we do become ill, and materials for clothing, shelter, and the other necessities of life. However, that can only happen if we take responsibility for keeping our environment healthy.Learning about our relationship with nature is a key step in that life-long commitment."
