   A native of Perth, Ontario, Marks regularly toured the small town circuit with six of his seven brothers and wife, Kitty.
   ...
   Ernie headlined the Borsberry a number of times and, it's said, members of the audience actually prompted him whenever he flubbed lines.
   
   In 1931, Ernie acquired the Martin's Theatre and became mayor of Oshawa the same year (a post held by son Ernie Jr. in 1967).
