   Neil Markowitz, U.S. Coordinator Neil (Nachum) joined the American Friends of Bayit Chadash as a founding Board member in the fall of 2001. Serving as Secretary for the Board, Neil assisted with correspondence and Board communications. In January of 2004 Neil officially joined the Bayit Chadash team as the first U.S. staff member. Neil is responsible for U.S. coordination of fundraising and promotional efforts for AFBC. Neil has over 20 years experience in the creation and management of non-profit organizations with a former focus on the environment and development of curriculum materials and professional development training programs. Neil has a strong passion for working toward a deep and lasting renewal of Jewish spirit within individuals in the U.S. and Israel. Neil works half time from Tucson, Arizona where he lives in a co-housing cooperative community with his wife Ilana and young children Zakkai and Aliya.
