Born and raised in Ipswich, Markos received an academic scholarship to Harvard College, where he was a standout on the varsity football team.After graduating in 1956, he went on to earn an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1960.He began his career at Smith Barney Harris Upham, where he eventually became vice president and was a lifetime member of the President's Club.In 1986, he founded Ipswich Investment Mangement Co., where he served as president until his untimely passing.
