    Bruce Manning is the Chief Executive Officer of the Great Southern Development Commission and an ex-officio member of the Board. His regional development experience includes five years as the Regional Manager for WA TAFE in the Great Southern region and five years as Executive Officer of the Southern Province Projects Group. He has won several regional development awards, the most recent being the Australia and New Zealand Regional Science Association's Practitioners Award for 2000.

    GSDC CEO Mr Bruce Manning said that the Rail Trail added recreational opportunities to an already diverse Denmark tourism economy which includes scenic flights, bike tours, eco-adventure tours, winery tours, boat charters, Inlet cruises and surfing activities.

    Bruce Manning CEO, said the previous four rounds of funding had supported a diversity of innovative and worthwhile projects - everything from cheese manufacture to international art programs and tourism strategies.
