Chief executive Brian Manning believes Wilkinson will fuel growth as customers outsource repair work to cut direct costs.
"We have an increasing number of clients and contracts north of the Tyne and into Scotland, including Northumbria Police and Northumberland County Council.
"Our new Northumberland headquarters will help us to service them and to grow our business more effectively.
However, as most of our operations revolve around the construction sector, it's inevitable that we are not going to be able to grow to the same degree as we did last year."
Mr Manning said he believed the construction market would improve by the end of the year and he was hoping to recruit again next year, with the aim of welcoming back some of the skilled workers made redundant.
"We lost a number of highly skilled workers and I would be looking to rebuild our workforce once the recession begins to tail off," he said.
