HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sterling Construction Company, Inc. (NasdaqGS: STRL - News; "Sterling" or "the Company") today announced that its Vice President - Business Development, Brian Manning, P.E., has been named National Treasurer of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Construction Institute (CI).CI is the construction arm of ASCE, the premier engineering society with over 130,000 members.Mr. Manning currently serves as a CI Director over the Construction Directorate.
Mr. Manning graduated from Texas Tech University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.Named the Young Engineer of the Year in 2000 by the Houston Branch of ASCE, Mr. Manning later became President of that branch, one of the nation's largest in terms of membership, and now also serves as VP Professional at the Texas Section of ASCE.This election will place him in an automatic progression to the CI presidency in 2011.
