Manning joined Ducks Unlimited in 1985 as Regional Director , and was promoted to Assistant Director of Field Operations in 1987 , and Director of Field Operations in 1988.
Prior to his service with Ducks Unlimited , Manning worked for IC Industries.His first post with IC was Regional Environmental Analyst , and was promoted two years later to Regional Environmental Chemist.
A native of Sangamon county , Manning is a graduate of Pawnee public schools and received a Bachelors degree in environmental biology and zoology and a Masters Degree in zoology from Eastern Illinois University.Manning enjoys hunting , fishing , camping and all other outdoor related activities.Manning and his wife , Cathy have two daughters ; Sarah and Jessica and reside in Pawnee , IL..
His memberships include : Commissioner , Great Lakes Commission ; Chairman of the Board of Natural Resources and Conservation ; Chairman of the Illinois Conservation Foundation Board ; Chairman of the Governors Task Force on Global Climate Change ; Member of the Illinois Museum Board ; Co-Chairman of the Governors Land and Water Use Priorities Task Force ; Co-Chair of the Audit and Federal Budget Committees of the International Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies ; Member of the Legislative , Migratory Shore & Upland Game Bird and Migratory Wildlife Committees of the International Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies.Member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.Brent serves on several other committees that are too numerous to mention.
