Alan practices in all areas of transactional real estate law, including commercial and residential purchases and sales, commercial leasing, mortgage and conduit financing, title insurance and closings, condominiums, hotels, and general development.His clients include state and national banks, investment banks, institutional and private investors, developers, businesses, and individuals.Alan frequently acts as local counsel for out of state clients and law firms on real estate transactions throughout Florida.He is an agent for several local and national title insurance companies.Prior to joining the firm, Alan practiced for eleven years in the real estate department at Los Angeles based Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, one of the country's largest law firms.
Alan is admitted to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeal, Eleventh and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Florida and Central District of California.Alan is board certified in real estate law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.
Alan is a graduate of the Leadership Pensacola Class of the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors of both the Northwest Florida Chapter and the State of Florida Chapter of the Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
Alan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, summa cum laude, in 1982, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1986, where he was Editor of the Law Review.
