Alison Mandeville, who has been library director for three years, has already incorporated the learning project with other offerings, and she says it's a hit.

"I think it is a wonderful opportunity for the kids," Mandeville said."I think it is a wonderful program, and I feel privileged to be involved with it."

She is not requiring registration for the 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. program, but if parents wish, they may call 298-8620.

Alison Mandeville has replaced Susan Travis as director of the Champlain Memorial Library.
