Jan Mancini

Enfield, CT -- Jan Mancini, RN, joined Home & Community Health Services Inc. (H&CHS), Johnson Health Network's Visiting Nurse and Hospice Agency as a behavioral health supervisor.In this newly created position, Mancini will oversee the agency's growing Behavioral Health Program.She will work closely with Johnson Memorial Hospital's Behavioral Health Services staff, as well as North Central Counseling Services.

Mancini underwent training to become a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, CT.She then went on to achieve her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health Science from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, VT.She recently returned to Connecticut from Wallingford, VT, where she was the external care xoordinator for Genesis Healthcare.

Joslin Diabetes Center Researchers Pinpoint Causes Of Adverse Reactions To Popular Type 2 Diabetes Drugs

H&CHS won the contest as the result of a letter written by Jan Mancini, RN, the agency's behavioral health supervisor.Her letter stated, ,I have never worked with such a devoted and hard-working group of people in my life.They all pitch in to make sure the residents of Enfield and surrounding towns have all the nursing care they need, 24 hours a day (not an easy task in today's shortage of nurses)., She also explained that H&CHS, formerly the Enfield Visiting Nurse Association, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2008.
